Event:	Cellular Flow Manufacturing
Description:	In this course, participants will receive training on the principles of Cellular Flow Manufacturing and the class will apply the learned principles to a specified production line in the company. The participants will learn how to link and balance manufacturing operations to reduce lead times, minimize work in process, optimize floor space usage, and improve productivity. Participants are lead through the 5-step process for designing and implementing work cells for their company. This process applies to both assembly and machining applications. In this session, participants will learn: The Eight Wastes Five Step Cell Design Process Tools for Cell Design and Kaizen Elements of Motion Analysis Cell Design and Construction Cellular/Flow Manufacturing Case Studies Plant Layout Considerations Keys to Success Performance Impact and Manufacturing Benefits
Prerequisites:	Principles of Lean Manufacturing with Live Simulation or equivalent and Introduction to Cellular Flow Manufacturing
Expected Outcomes:	Participants will experience first hand the benefits of implementing Cellular Flow Manufacturing. The class will learn how to reduce lead times, minimize work in process, optimize floor space usage, and improve productivity using Cellular / Flow Manufacturing techniques
Suggested Participants:	Production and Production Support personnel from Materials Management and Purchasing, Scheduling, Quality.
