Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Program
Are you ready to become a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt?
Whether you’re tasked with leading your own projects or are looking to expand your education, our Lean Six Sigma Green Belt course will increase your knowledge base and capability to apply the DMAIC methodology and Lean methods. You will be competent in all the basic analytical tools necessary to define, measure, analyze, improve, and control Green Belt improvement projects.
By completing this course of study, you will gain a solid base of knowledge of the theory, composition and implementation of a Lean Six Sigma initiative.
You will also become proficient in all the basic analytical tools necessary to Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control Lean Six Sigma improvement projects. You will learn team leadership and project management skills.
As a Green Belt you will master the skills necessary to lead a complex process improvement project that produces bottom-line results.
This instructor-led course is 40 hours long, and you will have access to your instructor between sessions to assist with application & project completion.

The objective of this course is to develop a comprehensive set of skills that will let you to function effectively as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
You will learn the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt body of knowledge, practice techniques for both quantitative and non-quantitative analysis, and gain the team leadership skills necessary to get projects across the goal line.
After completing this course, you should be able to:
- Communicate using Lean Six Sigma concepts.
- Think about your organization as a collection of processes, with inputs that determine the output.
- Relate Lean Six Sigma concepts to the overall business mission and objectives.
- Understand and apply the five step DMAIC model as a framework to organize process improvement activity.
- Understand how to identify waste within your processes and how to systematically reduce and eliminate their effects on costs and lead times.
- Employ a wide range of process improvement techniques within the DMAIC model and lean manufacturing methodologies.
- Employ your Lean Six Sigma skills to lead a successful process improvement project delivering meaningful results to the organization.
This forty-hour program will be offered beginning in the Winter. All sessions run from 8:30 am until 5:00 pm. Lunch is provided, and participants are invited to arrive at 8:00 for a light continental breakfast. (Students must communicate any dietary restrictions at registration.)
To successfully complete this course, you must attend all of the classroom sessions and successfully complete all course quizzes. AM&T will provide you with a Certificate of Training Completion.

Do I need a project to complete the training? No. We do not require a project for training, though we strongly recommend that you accompany the coursework with a meaningful project. A real-world project will significantly enhance the learning experience because you can use it to directly practice the concepts and tools as you complete the course. You will have access to the course instructor prior to training to assist with project selection.

Tom has over 30 years experience in the manufacturing sector and has worked in a variety of engineering, managerial and leadership functions. Tom has helped companies achieve millions in savings through the application of Lean and Six Sigma principals. Tom has worked in the automotive, aerospace and food industries and is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. Tom has a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology and a M.S. in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Walden University. Tom joined AM&T in 2019 as a Principal Consultant, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
