NY-BEST and AMT are inviting Southern Tier manufacturers to learn about opportunities to become involved with or expand in the Battery / Energy Storage Supply Chain

The New Energy New York initiative (NENY), led by Binghamton University, is seizing on a unique and timely opportunity for New York State and the Southern Tier to establish itself as a leader in domestic battery and energy storage manufacturing.

New Energy New York was selected for funding by the Economic Development Administration under the Build Back Better Regional Challenge. The goal of the program, which is supported with $113 million in federal, state and partner funding, is to develop new facilities and resources in New York State and the Southern Tier to help the U.S. meet the demand for domestic battery products and create an important competitive edge for U.S. companies in battery and energy storage development and manufacturing relative to all aspects of the supply chain.
